Crystal Motor Express, Inc. was founded by Ernest (Ernie) Masiello in 1952. Ernie drove a truck making pick ups and deliveries during the day, while his wife, Doris, processed the paperwork and bills in the evening. Since the company’s inception, Crystal has experienced exponential growth, and has expanded from a small carrier servicing Massachusetts, to a multimillion-dollar LTL shipping company servicing the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Crystal’s growth has been mainly attributable to the high quality of its people, and their willingness to make certain that all customers are afforded the best service possible with the courtesy and respect they deserve. Over the years, as the needs of our customers changed, so did Crystal Motor Express, Inc. In order to better serve our customer base Crystal diversified by creating Crystal Warehouse Corporation in 1980 and Crystal International Freight Systems in 2007.
